Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Feeling Just Ducky!

Fall is here. While it's my favourite season, it also means the end of trailer season (although, I have to admit by this time of the year I'm ready to close it and focus on home.) Yesterday, John and I went up for the afternoon to pack everything away, clean, and bring things home that need to be home. We also had it winterized at the same time. It was a gorgeous fall day. I love being up there in the fall.

I spent a lot of time the other day unpacking my scrappy stuff and reorganizing everything. That made me very happy. I don't have to riffle through all my boxes and bags looking for things now when I want to work on a project. To top it all off, I actually sat at my scrap table for  the first time in months, and finished off a project. I plan on making that a habit again.

This is a layout that I finished up over the summer. The pictures are from two years ago when many of my family members rented a cottage for a week together, and the kids were feeding the ducks off the dock. I couldn't find any duck embellishments that I liked, or that worked on this page, so I searched for clip art on the computer and found one of cattails, and one of the duck and layered them. I love the way it turned out!

When all else fails, just google it!

  4. Love this! My kids love to do stuff like this too-I think most kids do. Great idea to put the 'do not feed' sign on. How funny.

  5. Fab layout...your idea to use the clip art was so wise...it looks great!

I know what you mean about being ready to close up the trailer...Usually we close ours sometime in the first 2 weeks of October (weather permitting. This year we did it really early due to my surgery tomorrow.

It was sad to close it up in the midst of superb weather but what can you do. I think this will be the first time in a long time that i will miss the Adams River Salmon run! Oh well...

It is good to be back home with our supplies and creating our winter routines...I can't wait to start those scrappy routines.

I must be nervous about tomorrow as I seem to be leaving long comments today for everyone!!! teeeheee
