Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Isn't this just the coolest!!

I've been wanting something to use as a little laptop desk in my kitchen/family room. I was getting tired of always having everything sprawled all over the kitchen counter (OK, I know that I wasn't the only one getting tired of it, right John??) I was considering trying to make something because I didn't want to spend a lot of money ... but then I didn't want to have it look really bad either. We also didn't want a big desk or anything because we didn't have the space.

So, I stopped at Costco last week to pick up some photos and felt compelled to walk around the whole store to see what else was there. (I know I'm not the only one who does that. There's just something about Costco.)

So I stumbled across this baby. It was perfect and just what I needed. The best part was that it was only $50!!!

This is what it looks like, closed.
There is a compartment to store my laptop when I close it up.

and this is what it looks like opened. There's a small cork board for hanging stuff, a rechanging station for phones or ipods (you can't see it because it's behind the laptop) a mail slot (also known as the place to throw all the junk) and a storage compartment across the top.
It takes up very little space as you can see. It's just tucked away behind a chair, on a wall. All I have to do is pull over one of the bar stools from the counter.
Isn't it just the coolest thing?
We're all very happy now that my laptop has a permanent home ... as does all my lists, calendars, school notices, and other important stuff that gets shoved on top of the microwave.

Wow that is soooo cool, I'll have to check our Costco (also by walking the whole store) and see if they carry it here.

  9. That is gorgeous barbara. It looks a bit antiquey and is just the perfect size to fit on a small wall. I love it. And at $50 it would have been a crime to walk away from it.
