Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside My Window... It's a beautiful spring day. The sun is shining and the sky is blue. Unfortunately, the wasps are out. I need to go out and watch to see if they are trying to build a hive somewhere in our yard.

I am thinking... that maybe I should take a nap today and try and catch up on all the sleep I haven't been getting lately.

I am thankful for... the great girlfriends that I have. They are always so much fun to be with.

From the kitchen... Cameron told me this morning that there have been requests from his friends at school that I make my meatball recipe for supper. (He loves to take the leftovers to school for lunch and I guess he shares it with his friends.) Apparently they've noticed that I haven't made it in a while, LOL! They will have to wait a little longer because I can't make it until Wednesday for supper. I guess I better make lots for leftovers.

I am wearing... yoga pants and a tee shirt.

I created this week ... a few layouts over the weekend.

I am reading... I just picked up the new Oprah Winfry unauthorized biography. The gossippy side of me couldn't resist.

I am remembering… not enough these days!

I am hoping... that I can find the wood that I need for a project that I want to do.

I am hearing... just the bubbling from the fish tank.

On my mind… all the things that are coming up in the next few weeks. It's going to be busy.

Around the house... I really need to start some spring cleaning around here ... if only I could find the motivation and energy.

One of my favorite things... My new bracelet that I bought. It's like a Pandora Bracelet. I have been having some fun shopping for new beads and charms. We founds some really inexpensive ones this past weekend.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: It should be a fairly regular week filled with errands, cleaning, taxi-ing boys all over the place, ... the usual stuff. Cameron is on school tours on Wednesday so I may go watch at a school or two.

A picture to share: No picture, but a video. This is the Halton Junior Jazz Band playing at the Halton Showcase. Cameron plays a bit of a solo right at the beginning. He's on trumpet. You can't really see him that well, but you can really hear him. (he plays sooooo loud!) The quality of the picture and sound isn't that great. These are grade 7 and 8 kids!

  5. It makes em smile so much that you get requests from your sons friends. My 15 year old is the one who gets recipe requests from his friends, for stuff he makes. He apparently has already had one marriage proposal based on his performance in Food Tec class at school.
