Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Thursday Thirteen

I just found out that the Thursday Thirteen went down. Fortunately, there are many who couldn't let it go. You can find them HERE if you want to participate.

So, on to my list.

Thirteen Things I Say Everyday to My Boys

1. Ewww! Gross! (OK, I'll admit that I say this one more than once every day!)
2. Ummmm .... are you wearing that?
3. Have you done your homework?
4. Get up. Get up now. GET OUT OF BED!
5. you're going to be late for school.
6. You need a shower!
7. Who farted?? (usually followed by Ewwwww! Gross)
8. Get off the TV (or computer, or wii) you have things to do.
9. your room is a mess! Didn't your mother teach you to pick up after yourself?
10. Don't make me come up there!
11. You are your father's son!!!
12. You are how old??
13. Leave your brother alone!

  1. LOL I remember those days like yesterday. Waaa I miss them too!

  2. I can so tell you have boys. It's amazing how different sons and daughters are.
Daughter: 'I can tell Brother has been in here. My room is stinky.'
Son: 'What? I don't smell anything.'

  3. He He He. Great list. Seems like I'm also saying NO to my 4 year old. Thanks for stopping by and Happy TT!

  4. LOL! My two younger kids are boys, so many of those things sound really familiar.

  5. Barb it must be a mother to boys thing because mine are 5 and 2 and I say most of those things every single day. Are you telling me that it doesn't change when they get older.

  6. Anonymous2:23 PM

    That's to funny!!!

  7. Oh, I can really relate! I've got sons too. :)

  8. Anonymous3:09 PM

lol. I say a lot of those things too. Must be a boy thing.

  9. ROFL...you sound just like me.

"Hurry Up!" "You are grounded!" and "Did you hear me????" are the top 3 things I say in my house.

    Happy T13!

  10. That is so funny. I can't imagine what it must be like to live in a home filled with boys. Kudos to you for surviving it!

  11. you're my own personal crystal ball!!

  12. 3, 5, 8 and 13 are my most used phrases. Boys!

  13. Anonymous5:00 PM

LOL. Boys. I have learned more than I ever wanted to know about raising boys since my teen mnephews have been living here. OMG! I hope you sirvive it (from the mom of one girl)
    Happy TT!
TT # 23 Thorni is SFR!

  14. Anonymous5:13 PM

I suspect this is a familiar list to most moms ;--)
    Hugs and blessings,

  15. Some of those I say daily too. I have a boy and a girl and I'd still say some of those. I did I list similar to this awhile ago - lol!

Thanks for stopping by mine. Happy TT!

  16. Anonymous7:53 PM

LOL! Makes your life interesting, doesn't it?

Love the header pic of your family, you've got a really great-looking family!

  17. Love this idea, what a great way to capture things mom says.
More than a few of those apply to my family also. Boys!
You should get the boys to write out a list like this also and see how it differs.

  18. Oh Barb! These are HYSTERICAL! And I can TOTALLY see you saying each and everyone of those!

  19. Hahaha, my kids are still to small to tell them most of these lines. But in a few years I will think of you again and remember your post. Haha

    Have a great weekend,
    Love, es

  20. We stopped fighting the clean room battle a few years ago. Now our boys are clean. It was simple, we just changed the measure point. If neither Evie nor I see any mess, nor smell anything coming from their room, the room is clean. Hence, they keep their doors closed. LOL
