...well, he was. LOL! He arrived in Ontario yesterday from Washington, DC (well, they actually live in Fairfax, VA) for our nephew's wedding. The boys were fairly excited that he was on the way. Cameron tried to strike up a deal with me that he would be able to stay up long enough to say hello to him. He arrived around 8:45 last night. Even though he was exhausted after a long, solo drive, he managed to stay awake long enough to chat and catch up for a while. Spencer was quite interested in seeing the Crossmen DVD and the white water rafting DVD (or maybe it was the food that was in front of the screen that kept him there.)
The best part was that it was just the two of us. That doesn't happen very often. I was able to enjoy some undivided attention from my brother. While I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of my family over the weekend, this was a nice quiet visit ... just the two of us.
Now he's off to visit our Grandmother who is quite ill, and then to London to see my parents until the wedding.
I'm glad you two got a chance to visit quietly. Big family events are important, but they are not conducive to quality visitation. Sorry I won't be at the wedding, but someone has to stay home with the teenager. You know how that goes.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your family time... I LOVE weddings! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for graciously taking me into your home. You are always dear to my heart. I wish the two of us could visit more often and just chat...too little time and too much left unsaid. I love you.
ReplyDeletethat's so great barb...let me be the first to say that you didn't allow comments on the 'make your husband happy from an old economic book' post above...
ReplyDeleteyou did that on purpose so we couldn't razz you about the ribbon in your hair, didn't you?
I've also cleaned the coffee off my laptop screen...
Heehee!!!
