Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Weekly Wrap-Up

Didn't we just do this? It sure feels that way.

It was a very busy week for me this past week. I felt like I hardly had a chance to breath.
-I finished refinishing the old sideboard I was working on. I think it turned out pretty well ... and so does Cameron. (he's so cute! he is my own personal cheering squad.) Now I'm just waiting for John to get the hinges on the doors and drill new holes for handles. Then I'll take some pictures and show you before and after.
-I spent way to much time this week trying to get our carpet cleaner working again. I think I spent about 3 hours on Wednesday, and then another 2 hours with John in the evening trying to figure it out. We took it all apart and everything. No luck. So, Friday I hit the sales at Canadian Tire and bought a new one.
-got the carpets in the main areas all cleaned. I just need to do the bedrooms and John's office.
-Went to This Class at Scrapbook Queens. It's been a long time since I've taken a class and I really enjoyed it. Lorie is great!
-went to a fund-raising crop that a friend was having in Kitchener. I think I was too wired to get too much done. We spent more time chatting, and shopping, than scrapping. Fun!
-Sunday was a huge blur. It was the annual "Gift of Christmas" concert put on by the Mississauga Salvation Army at the Living Arts Centre. The band played throughout. It was a great day with both the Oakville Children's Choir, and the Divisional Youth Choir joining us. It was a great way of starting the Christmas season. It made for a very busy and long day, starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 10 p.m. (by the time we got home again) but it was worth it.

Looking ahead
-I hope to finish off cleaning all the carpets. I have the bedrooms (5 of them) and John's office still to do.
-hopefully by the end of the week I'll have the house all decked out for Christmas
-start my Christmas shopping
-try and get the house all cleaned up again. - time to rally the troups I think.
-if I find myself with some spare time I'd like to paint the bathroom in the basement ... but that might be a little ambitious.
-I have two overdue layouts for the Log Your Memories Collab project to get to this week.
-I have a Christmas party to attend with my brother, Rick. It's the Community Living's annual Christmas party. It's always a very fun night.
-I have a Girls Night Out to attend. We're going to "Glass Fusion"
-at some point we need to celebrate both our anniversary (yesterday it was 23 years.) and my birthday (tomorrow)

I guess if I hope to get all this done, I need to get off my computer and get busy.

Before going, though, I'll share a recently completed layout. These pictures are of Cameron this past summer when he made a little mini BBQ out of a coke can and an old BBQ lighter. Amazing!
