Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Look who's driving!

Yes, that's right! Matt passed his road test. He is now in possession of his G2 liscence. Way to go Buddy!! (and he drove almost perfectly too.)

And ... look who has to wait another month to try again.

Spencer didn't do as well on his driving test, unfortunately. Hopefully, with another month of driving, he will be driving himself around.

I'm so proud of Matt. Having Nonverbal Learning Disorder means that he has visual spacial problems. That, combined with anxiety, doesn't bode well for driving a car. Throughout his Driver's Ed programme he was rather anxious while driving and a little timid. As he went along he started gaining more confidence and getting more and more comfortable. He still is very cautious, but I'm not going to complain about that.

It's very interesting watching him drive as he will still verbalize the "rules" and procedures. As he parks, he talks the procedure to himself as he does it. It's very facinating to me.

  1. Hmmm...I need to talk out loud when I'm doing something that takes a lot of concentration. I just wonder...

But most of all, Congratulations to Matt!

  2. Congrats to Matt. Now you have one more option for running out to get milk and bread. For our guys it was the driver's ed instructor who passed them for their license.
