Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Has it really been that long?

Has it really been a month since I blogged last? Wow! I don't really have any exciting excuses for what kept me away from blogging. I just haven't been in the blogging mood. I've actually entertained the idea of ending my blog (for the first time since I began it years ago) for various reasons.

Time to get my butt in gear again.

Anyway, I'll try to catch you up to speed on what's been happening around here in the past month but I will try to be brief:

-Matt and John had a good time in Punta Cana. Matt said it was a lot quieter than last year as there weren't as many students, but I know it was great bonding time between father and son
-I haven't been scrapping much at all this month. I did manage to get caught up with my 365 pages at the beginning of March, but I'm behind again
-I'm getting a little worn out with all the driving I've been doing lately. There have been a lot of longer commutes into the city for boys' social things, and a lot of music events. I'll be happy to have Matt and Spencer get their license so I won't have to drive them around as much
-Matt and Spencer go for their G2 next week. Yay!
-Matt struggled a little with anxiety after his Reading Week, but he did great getting himself back on track
-Matt is having a really good semester. He has only two more weeks of classes and then he has exams.
-Spencer, Cameron and I went to Myrtle Beach with my sister and brother-in-law for March Break. We all had a very relaxing week. I loved the fact that there weren't a lot of people there (at least, compared to Florida)
-it seemed to take me about a week to recouperate from the drive home. It seems to take me longer and longer to recouperate every year.
-Cameron, and the jazz band, have been doing school tours and I have been following them around like a groupie. So fun.
-Spencer's jazz band and Cameron's jazz band are going to Ottawa for National Music Fest in May. I hope to go and see them play ... but I'm not allowed to follow them around, LOL!
-I had a fun night out with Deb and Michele. It's been a few months since we had a girl's night out together. It was fun.
-Cameron collected Maple sap from our trees again this year. We boiled it down and had enough syrup to have a family pancake dinner. It was very yummy.
-We've been really enjoying the beautiful, summer-like weather we've been having lately. I know that it's not a good thing from an environmental perspective, but I will enjoy it while we have it
-we had a great Easter weekend. We went to Cathy's for my family get-together on Saturday, and then to Guelph for John's on Sunday.

Hopefully I will have some blogging motivation soon and will get some pictures and layouts uploaded.

  4. Wow, you've been busy! As has your entire family. I'm glad school's gone well for Matt this year. And you know, you should REALLY hang out with me instead of following your son and his friends around in Ottawa. Just sayin'... :)
