Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Bits and Pieces

January already feels like it's been here forever. I've heard that from many of my friends as well. I don't know if it's the dark, cold winter days that seem to drag, or that it's just the post-Christmas let-down that causes it. It sure feels like it's been more than just the 20 days. So far, my 2010 has been fairly uneventful. Quiet! Just the way I like it. Here's a small glimps into my life right now:
-we are in the process right now of looking around for a new Church home. The one that we currently attend is in Toronto and it's quite far and the drive is becoming an issue for us. We're looking at other Salvation Army Churches closer to home that will meet the needs of our family.
-Oliver has still been vomitting. He seems better than he was but I wish we knew what was going on. The vet has run some blood work and done some exrays and everything checks out OK. He was also de-wormed in case that was causing it. Still, it continues. At least he's eating and drinking, so that's a good thing.
- Spencer starts exams on Friday.
-I've been managing to get some scrapping time in at home, but still not as much as I would like.
- we finally got our new door. It was installed today and it's beautiful. I will try to remember to take some pictures later to share
- the college staff may be going on strike next month. Unbelievable.
-I've really been enjoying my Log Your Memories logbook. I know I've said this a few times alread, but its such a great way to keep track of memories, and other tidbits each day as well as a jump-off point for journaling and doing layouts. Check out the link on my side bar.
-I applied to be part of a collaboration project with Log Your Memories. I found out yesterday that I will get to be part of this year long venture. Stay posted for more details. I've never applied for anything like this before so this will be a huge learning experience for me.
So this is a layout I finished last week of our dinner with our friends in Halifax. Great times!

OK, off to put dinner int he oven.

  1. I have actually found January to have sped by. And normally I detest January and it does seem to drag more than any other month. I think it is because we are having a much nicer winter this year and I haven't been as bushed in the house as I usually am.
Sorry you are finding it long. Hope that gets better for you.
