Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

I'm Done!! Yippee!

My Christmas shopping is done. I'm so happy. This year was tough as only Cameron gave us a wish list. The other two couldn't come up with anything since we told them we weren't buying them anything video/computer game related.

Now all I have to do is wrap, clean, and sit back and enjoy ... at least, after this weekend is over.
This Saturday we have John's family coming for their family Christmas. Not everyone will be able to make it so there will only be 24.

Sunday Spencer is becoming a Senior Soldier (in the Salvation Army that means that he will become a uniform-wearing member of the Church). After Church we have to stay in Toronto. We will go for lunch with the Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles who will be coming to see Spencer's enrollment, and then we have our big Carols and Candles Christmas service in the late afternoon. It will be a busy weekend. We will all crash Sunday night, I'm sure.

In other news, Cameron is very excited because he's been given a solo to play at the school Christmas concert next week. He's so proud of himself.

Matt finally finished his big History essay. What a long, drawn out, ordeal that was. We were all so happy when it was handed in this week. He's so much more relaxed now.
I've been making a few projects around here for Christmas presents. I made these lanterns for the two Grandmothers for Christmas.( no peeking, Mom!) The lanterns are from Ikea. I love the way they turned out.

  1. Congratulations to Spencer!

I like the lanterns. You will have a busy weekend. Enjoy your Christmas with your "small" gathering from John's family.

    All absolutely fanTAStic news!

Matthew is in destress mode (not distress), Spencer's becoming a Senior Soldier, Cameron's really coming into his own musically (and loving it apparently!). Great lanterns, all shopping done, one Christmas dinner and a number of other celebrations this weekend...
    All great!
But your comment about JUST wrapping and cleaning to do... you're killing me. The wrapping I can enjoy...

Well, enjoy the ride and I'll see you on the other side. :)

  4. I have barely started my shopping. I'm not looking forward to it since I find everyone hard to buy for this year.

Congrats to Spencer. Hopefully the weather won't be as bad as they say and I will still be coming!

I am still not done my shopping. A few more items still need to be secured.
