Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

The new trailer has arrived!

On Friday, John and I went up to Kitchener to do a walk-through of the new trailer and to sign the papers. After grabbing a quick lunch, John left for the trailer to wait for delivery and clean out the old trailer while I went back home to pick the boys up from school and then headed up to camp. The trailer was to leave Kitchener at 2 p.m. and arrive at camp somewhere around 4:30 p.m.

As I was on my way up, John called to say that the trailer was delayed and wouldn't be leaving until 5 p.m. Oh well, that gave us time to go into town and have a leisurly dinner and pick up some groceries.

The trailer finally left around 6 and arrived around 9 p.m. Do you know how antsy the boys were by this time?? We had both cars packed to the brim with stuff as they were taking our old trailer with them after delivering the new one.

Dianne, one of the ladies in the trailer park, told us we looked like expectant parents. I certainly felt like one ... without the labour pains.

Finally, at about 10:30, the guy was still setting up, but he gave me the go-ahead to start moving stuff in. By that time, we just took in what we would need for the night, made up the beds, set up a TV in the boys' room. Then after they were tucked in, they happily watched Jan Leno while I crashed myself and John was still helping hook up the old trailer for him haul away.

We spent the day on Saturday moving in, cleaning up the old site, working at getting the "big honking deck" (which is now in three peices) in place, and just trying to set up the new site. With one big peice of the deck in place, the wood shed moved in place, and some prep work for the other shed to come over, we are really making progress.

This weekend we will head up again, and try and get the rest of it done. Then the plan is to sit back and enjoy it all for the rest of the summer!

So, who wants to come up for a BBQ?

  5. We're changing our plans for vacation. Instead of BC, it's "Chateau Jackson's".
Have a great summer! I'm looking forward to seeing it.
