Sunday Ramblings

We just got home from Church and then a Divisional Youth Band concert. Spencer is now in the Ontario Central Divisional Youth Band. Today was their first concert since he has joined. I must say, I was very impressed, and a little scared for him. The music is a little challenging, (which is good because he needs to be challenged to move to the next level) and he is on the solo cornet bench. He looks so small compared to the rest of them. I would say most of the kids are in their late teens or early 20s and he's only 14.

Yesterday John and I went to Home Depot in the morning for a tiling seminar. Our plan is to make the main floor washroom feel bigger. We want to put in a pedestal sink. Right now there is a vanity but, or course, underneath the vanity, are no tiles. So, we need to retile the floor before doing anything else. I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew. I think I'm up for the challenge.

Debbie and I (hi Deb!) went out for lunch yesterday and then hit a couple of scrapbooking stores. I didn't come home with as much as I thought I would. Good news for my wallet I guess. We had a fun afternoon. I love spending time with her.

I have the next scrapbooking retreat coming up in two weeks. This is the retreat that I organize (with the help of a great team) twice a year. I've pretty much got the retreat organized, now I just need to plan out the projects and layouts I want to get done while there. The ladies are all so much fun and it's always great to go away with them.
