Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

We've arrived!

We're in Calgary. We arrived after 11p.m. last night after a very tiring day of packing, getting the house tidied up, and flying out here in the evening. The boys were very excited to finally board the plane. Cameron tells me he loves flying ... he certainly doesn't get that from me!

We we got here to Stephen's house it was after midnight, local time (2 a.m. home time.) Emily and Nathan were still up as they were just as excited to see Cameron as he was to see them. After chatting for a few minutes with everyone, we all crashed ... well, except for the three muskateers who were chatting away. It was so nice to hear them giggling away long after the lights were out.

It's good to be here!

  2. I'm not a big fan of flying either. Frankly, it bores the bejeebers out of me! I'll be interested to know what Joshua thinks about flying after he gets back from Europe tomorrow. :-)

I decided long ago that if I could drive a trip in a day (say, ten or eleven hours or less) I would drive rather than fly.

  3. During our vacation time differences made for an interesting dynamic. We had with us a copy of Josh’s itinerary with us. A number of times we were going to bed just as he was getting up….like the day he went to Venice he had already had breakfast when we were closing down the campfire and going to bed.

  4. Spending time with cousins always makes for special memories... I remember some fun times when we were younger spending time with the Morris family. Sometimes growing up is sad because we move awa from each other and don't spend time together. I hope Emily, Nathan and Cameron cherish this time they have and never take it for granted.
