Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Today was a very sad day.

I've been dreading this day for a few months now but it came anyway. Today was Spencer's last gig with the Halton Junior Jazz Band. They toured schools all day today for the last time. They did four schools. Myself, and 7 other groupie parents followed them around today, all of us wearing very sad faces. They played fantastic, and really started hamming up the performance by the last school. Even the two directors were going for the comic relief. We are all going to really miss the group and the incredible opportunity it has brought. They are all a great group of kids with incredible talent.

Thanks to Mike Elmer, Brian Vincent, and all the kids and parents. It's been a great ride!

  1. Transitions are bittersweet. On the one hand, it's great to watch the kids grow up. On the other hand, it would be nice to hold on to the present just a little bit longer.

  2. WOW, I can't believe Spencer is finished middle school! I agree with Evie, transitions are bitter sweet. But then I also look at it that the future holds so much more and Spencer has many exciting possibilities coming his way over the next several years.

Congratulations Spencer on all you have accomplished to date!
