Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

December Daily

This year I decided to participate in the December Daily. For those who aren't scrapbookers, the idea is to document something every day during the month of December. At first I was a little overwhelmed with the idea of creating an album like this but the more I thought about it, the more I felt I needed to create one and document the important things of our Christmas season.

I have pre-made all my pages so that all they're waiting for is the pictures and journaling, and maybe a small amount of embellishments. The key for success for me will be simplicity. I also want to make myself accountable, so I'm going to come here and do a December Daily post each day (or doubling up sometimes on those very busy days that I know I'll have.)

December 1

My Christmas season this year was kicked off with Rick's Christmas party. Every year, Community Living Burlington puts on a big dinner and dance for all the clients and their families. I always enjoy seeing everyone so happy to share that night together. This year Dad was sick, so it was just Mom and I that attended, but Rick didn't seem to mind too much. He was happy just to have us there and to be eating great food. It was a great start to this year's festivities.

December 2nd

It's December 2nd and I'm still not finished putting up all the decorations. Usually I spend November 30th decorating, but this year I'm behind a little. Yesterday I did a lot of the decorating, and today I had planned on doing the trees, but we're having trouble with the lights on the pre-lit tree and so tomorrow we will have to go out and get more lights. Still, the house is starting to look like Christmas time has arrived.

  2. I really like the "pre-planned" layout you picked. It keeps things simple and consistent so you can focus on the story of each day. Lovely!
