Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Today ...

Outside my window...
It is dull, grey and cold. When is spring going to come and stay?

I am enjoying... having Spencer home for the summer.

I am wanting to ... take more pictures. I haven't been spending a lot of time with my camera these days and when I do, I'm quickly snapping pictures and not spending time taking good ones. I want to spend more time just playing around.

I am learning ...
how to let go. It's not an easy thing for me to do.

From the kitchen ...
I'm feeling a little frustrated. John and I are really trying to get back to a healthier way of eating. We've started the "17-Day Diet" this past week. We've been good about sticking to it, but it's been very hard not to eat carbs! I think we're both in carb withdrawal.

I am angry ...
that not everyone plays by the same rules.

I am creating...
layout packets, and sketch books are on the agenda for this week.

I am disappointed ...
that Cameron and I have to postphone plans that we've had for months. We've been looking forward to going to the Disney Movie "African Cats" on Earth Day. He's away this weekend so we will have to wait.

I am going...
grocery shopping today ... and I'd rather be doing just about anything else!

I am hoping...
for good results from medical tests for a family member.

I am needing...
to get started on some quilts that I'm making for the bunks in the trailer.

Around the house...
Spencer's stuff is scattered everywhere. We moved him home from University for the summer, and now we have to sort through everything and store it away somewhere.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
-Cameron is leaving on Wednesday with High Rendition Jazz for a trip to Washington DC to participate in the Jazz Festival there.
-doctors appointments
-the girls are coming over tomorrow to scrapbook
-I have some projects to get ready for an assignment
-get ready for a houseful of company for Easter on the weekend.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
This picture makes me smile everytime I look at it. This is me and four of my siblings many, many years ago. Can you guess which one I am?

Yes Carb withdrawal is tough isn't it. Our bodies are accustomed to the Carbs (fast sugar). Have you used this 17 Diet before? With success? I plan to review it and see how it compares to other diets I have done for slim down (especially after winter).

  3. I very clearly remember the day that picture was taken. It was on a Sunday after church, and Dad was trying to play professional photograper. We all got our picture taken individually in front of the big mirror to. After church, on a Sunday, not a very wise thing to do. By the end of it all, we were not happy campers.
