Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Time for an update?

It's been a bit of whirlwind around here in the past several days.

Last Sunday morning ... around 1:30 a.m., Matt received a very nasty voicemail if the form of a rap. I found it on Sunday when I got up. It was obviously from someone who knows who he is and has ties to his school (if they don't actually attend). Without going into too much detail, I can say that I was shocked over what I heard and was shaking for the rest of the day. We have gone to the school about it and it is being investigated. For now, we wait. The thing is, the phone logged the phone number and with a reverse search we also have an address.

I'm in a bit of a spring cleaning mood. Now that my energy is back after having the flu for over two weeks, I'm wanting to get everything around here clean and organized again. As Martha would say, "it's a good thing."

Tuesday was Halton Showcase in Hamilton. This is a yearly show put on by the Halton District School Board to showcase the different schools' music groups. This was our 5th year attending. I wasn't looking forward to it as it's always a very long night but I really enjoyed it. They really tried to streamline it better this year. It ended up being just a little shorter, but it kept moving along.
We were there to see Cameron and the Halton Junior Jazz play. When Cameron walked on the stage (in front of the thousand plus people in the audience) he realized he forgot his music and ran back off stage. Fortunately, by the time the Emcee finished talking he was back in place with his music. What can I say? That's my boy! He makes me so proud! LOL!

I'm looking forward to spending time with family this weekend. Saturday we are heading to Kingston to my sister's place for a family dinner and Sunday will be with John's family in Guelph. Sunday night my sister-in-law arrives from Calgary and we will hopefully be spending the day together on Monday, shopping and having lunch. It will be a very busy weekend with a lot of running around, but as Martha says, "it's a good thing!"

OK, I need to get off this computer and get to my to do list for today.

  3. Barb, I guess having younger boys this still has yet to happen. I am in shock that someone would do something like this. I truly hope this gets taken care of and that this person one day feels so bad of what he/she has done. I am praying that this ends here and gets taken care of with no more problems.

Have a super Easter with your family. I know I am looking forward to spending time with ours.
