Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

The boring, the mundane, but good!

I'm always in awe of some of my blogging friend's (ahem, Barb) who blog regularly. Not because they are able to make the time, but because they have stuff to be able to blog about ...even if it's about every day stuff ...and it's a fun read. I always feel that my life is boring and that most of the it isn't worth sharing. Let's face it, I'm a stay at home mom. There's not a lot of excitment in that. (now don't get me wrong, I love being a stay at home mom, and I love it when times are boring ... because when you have a special needs child, that equals good!)

...but, this is my blog after all. It's about what I want to write about, the boring and the mundane. So, with that realization, I'm going to fight the "is this blog worthy?" thought process that goes on inside my head, and just blog, and blog more often.

I have a busy weekend ahead of me. If you know me, you know how much I hate being busy. It's not that I'm lazy, I just function much better when I exist in a slower pace. I don't do well with time pressures. Well, John leaves tomorrow for 5 days, and that means that I will be running around all weekend. Tonight we will be heading up to camp. Cameron has to be there for a band retreat and so Matt, Spencer and I will just stay over in the trailer (and freeze our butt off as I hear it will be a chilly night ... YIKES!) Cameron won't be finished until about 4 tomorrow afternoon, so that gives me time to pack up the trailer and close it down for the winter. Sunday we will have Church in the morning, run back to Oakville to get homework done, and then back into Toronto for 6:30 for Spencer's band practise.

I was hoping to participate in an on-line crop this weekend, but I don't think I will have time to get anything done.

OK, time to share some recent work:

I love reading your posts, even if I haven't been very good at leaving comments lately... LOL BTW love your new picture in the header. What an handsome family you have! :)

Love your latest pages. Great shots of the animals. We loved Lion Safari when we went a few years ago. And that gardener page is too cute. I love what you did with the brads!

I hope that the temperature isn't too bad this weekend! Have fun! :)

  2. This will be a busy weekend for you. Don't you have a heater in your trailer? We've only used our RV's heater a couple of times, but it's nice to have it when it's needed.

I am totally LOLing at your reference to my blog. I am the MOST BORING blogger ever. Nothing exciting ever happens in my life, but I write about it anyway. It's like Seinfeld was the TV show about nothing... my blog is the blog about nothing.

But you've got the right attitude... your life doesn't have to be packed with excitement in order to blog. It's YOUR blog, and most of us who come here to read are interested in anything and everything you blog about. :)

And those of us who are scrap addicts... we LOVE to see your work on here. Great pages you've posted. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, and good luck with the busy weekend!

  5. Winterizing....we have to do our RV soon too. Remember which way to set the bypass valves before flushing the water system and filling it with anit-freeze is one of the greatest challenges. Evie and I are likely going to get away for one last time in the rig in a few weeks and winterize it just before we leave the campground.
