Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

Arghhhhhh! I fought this for so long.

Migraine headaches. That's right. It's official. I officially suffer from the family female curse. I didn't want this to happen and I fought it. I denied that it was happening. ...but, the doctor broke the terrible news to me the other day. She shattered my beautiful state of denial and ignorance with four terrible words, "You have migraine headaches." I pleaded with her. I begged her to say it isn't so. ... but she did it ... she wrote it in my chart anyway. Nooooooooo!
At least I was partly right. I have been getting tension headaches, apparently due to tension and stress?!? When I broke the news to John we were driving home from band practise. He asked me where the stress was coming from. Hahahahaha. I said, turn around. He did, and saw the faces of our beautiful boys smiling back at him! (maybe I can blame the grey hair on them too!)
So, the doctor said my shoulders and neck are extremely tight and it's causing the tension headaches which are now moving very quickly into migraines.
So ... Mom, Joanne, and Cathy - move over and make room for me on the couch. I feel a migraine coming on!

  1. Sorry that you've acquired the Sears (or is it Schephens?) curse. You may need to replace that crowded couch with a daybed.

This just plain sucks... :( I hope that you don't get too many of them. Too bad you can't get rid of your main stressors... ;D J/K LOL

  5. Welcome to the world of the migraine sufferers. I have been fortunate the past four years that my migraines have been fewer than in the past - or maybe I am just handling them better. I have had more tension, headaches, though!

  6. Oh, I'm so sorry to hear you have migraines. I suffer from them also, and know exactly what you're going through. It's not fun.

I know that massages and chiopractic work can really help.

    Good luck!!
