Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

We are having a great time here. We spent two days chilling and relaxing. Gayle and I spent one afternoon having a girls' lunch with Joanne. It was so great to sit and chat and catch up on things. I really miss having my sister close by. I know that she is really enjoying life out here and the great job she has, but for selfish reasons I wish she was still in Ontario.

Yesterday John, Stephen and Bruce went golfing and Gayle and I took the kids to Drumheller (sp?) to see the Dinosaur museum. It's in the Badlands which is a facinating place. We were able to take the kids on a Dino Dig where we got to prospect for Dinosaur bones and other fossils. It was very cool. The kids were finding all kinds of things including Dinosaur tendon. They loved it, inspite of the dreadful heat. We also got to see an unexcavated dinosaur site where there were the bones of a smallish dinosaur partially exposed. Very cool. The boys were facinated.

Last night Joanne came over for supper and we were able to sit and chat more.

In a few minutes we leave with Stephen and his family for two weeks on the road. The van is packed and ready to go and in an hour or so we will be in the mountains. We are making a stop in Banff on our way up to a place called David Thompson resort.

I've already taken two rolls of film so I whould have lost of pictures to share when we get back.

  1. Believe me, although I love my job and Bruce & I are enjoying our time together here, we truly miss our family, and for that reason, Ontario will always be home.

  2. I can't wait to see the pictures. I wish I were there with everyone.... Feeling a little sad right now.
