Welcome to a day in my life. I can't guarantee that this will be an exciting read for anyone. My life is filled with all the mundane activities of a stay-at-home-mom just trying to raise her three sons to be the best men they can be.

The Sisterhood Award

Last week, a blogging friend, Joyce sent me The Sisterhood Award. Here's what Joyce had to say:

Barbara of A Day in My Lifeis also a friend met through The Simple Woman’s Daybook. She and her husband have three very musical boys, and do some interesting traveling together. I simply enjoy her blog. Oh! I forgot to mention that Barbara is an excellent scrapbooker, for all you enthusiasts out there.

So here are the rules:
1. Put the logo on your blog or post.
2. Nominate up to 10 blogs which show great attitude and/or gratitude!
3. Be sure to link your nominees within your post.
4. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Remember to link the person from whom you received your award.

So, I've been thinking alot about who I want to nominate. I've decided to stay away from my family members (who are the bulk of my blog visitors) and nominate others who I feel a connection and sisterhood with.

So, I'm nominating the following (and in no particular order:

Barb - I met Barb online through a scrapbooking board (that is no longer open.) We formed a sisterhood when we both started blogging. She has a son who has Asperger's Syndrome and so we both share a common road. I have gained a lot of inspiration from her and how she mothers both her boys.

Milena - Milena is a friend of mine who I met a few years ago through Scrapbooking. Unfortunately life got busy for both of us and we didn't see each other. Over the past few months we have reconnected and I'm really enjoying the friendship and "sisterhood" that we have together.

Janet Janet is another friend of mine who I have met through Scrapbooking. She is a wonderful lady with such a wonderful outlook on life. She keeps me laughing and I enjoy the time I get to spend with her.

Joy - Joy, another scrapping friend, is my partner in crime. She has a mischeiveous side to her and loves to "get" people and so when we're together, everyone runs for cover. She's a lot of fun.

So, those are my nominations. Thanks, girls, for your friendship. I really value it.

  6. Thanks Barb! Sorry it has taken me so long to read this.
I am really glad we are friends. We don't see enough of each other. It is been very distressing to me that I keep missing opportunities to "get" people with you.
But seriously....you are the trouble maker, not me :) HUG
